How do I apply to graduate?
For degrees, complete the Graduation Petition with an Advisor or Counselor to confirm all program requirements have been met. An Advisor or Counselor’s signature is required. Submit the form to the Evaluation Specialists electronically: evaluator@aksarayyeralticarsisi.com by the appropriate deadline. Advisors and Counselors may also submit the petitions on the student’s behalf.
For Certificates of Achievement, complete the Certificate Petition. It is strongly recommended to meet with an Advisor or Counselor prior to submitting
the completed petition to confirm all program requirements have been met. Submit the
form to the Evaluation Specialists electronically: evaluator@aksarayyeralticarsisi.com by the appropriate deadline. Advisors and Counselors may also submit the petitions on the student’s behalf.
Please note that Certificates of Recognition are local awards which do not post to transcripts or participate in commencement; the petition process is the same, however. All ADT, AA, & AS awards and Certificate of Achievement awards do post to transcripts and participate in commencement.
Where can I watch/view the Ceremonies?
The Eureka Ceremony will be available to view via the following methods:
- CR YouTube page
- CR website homepage (will be available on the day of the event)
- Overflow seating will be available in the CR Theater where the ceremony will be live streamed.
I am finishing more than one program. Can I list it all on one Graduation Petition or Application for Certificate?
If you are completing more than one degree or certificate, a separate petition/application is required for each award.
When is the deadline to turn my Graduation Petition or Application for Certificate?
In order to obtain a degree or certificate, students must submit their petition/application during their last term at the College before the published deadlines.
Deadlines to petition to graduate or to apply for certificates are:
Spring Semester – first Thursday in March
Fall Semester – last Thursday in October
Summer Session – last Thursday in June
What if I miss the petition/application deadline?
If you miss the deadline for petitioning to graduate or applying for a certificate you may apply in the next term by the appropriate deadline.
How will I know that I am approved to graduate?
Updates on the status of your degree or certificate award will be sent to your CR Student Email account throughout the semester. For the Commencement Ceremony, you will receive an official notification letter via U.S. mail confirming your graduation commencement status by no later than May 1. We will also be notifying you by mail (the address on your petition) and email at your CR Student Email account.
If you do not receive an official confirmation letter and have questions, start by contacting the Advisor or Counselor whom you met with prior to submitting your graduation petition.
How will I know if I am eligible to graduate with honors?
Eureka Candidates
You will receive a letter in the mail (late April/early May) inviting you to purchase an honors cord to wear at commencement.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates
An informal evaluation of the student's transcript to help determine the KTIS Outstanding
Student Scholar and assist the students in purchasing their honor cord if applicable.
Del Norte Candidates
You will receive a letter in the mail (late April/early May) inviting you to purchase
an honors cord to wear at commencement.
Where do I get my honor cord?
Eureka Candidates
Honor cords can be purchased from the bookstore. Honor cords will be sold only to
student on a designated honors list.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates
Honor cords can be purchased from the Eureka bookstore unless the student is sponsored
by EOPS or the Hoopa Career and Technical Education Program. Honor cords and regalia
are purchased in coordination with the graduate.
Del Norte Candidates
Honor cords can be purchased from the Del Norte front office. Honor cords will be
sold only to students on a designated honors list.
If I don't graduate during the semester I applied for, do I have to reapply?
Yes.
Can I walk at commencement before I've finished my degree/certificate requirements?
No.
Do I need tickets for my family and friends to attend commencement?
Eureka Candidates
Yes, the Fire Marshall limits the number of people allowed in the gymnasium at one
time. Each attendee (this includes babies in carriers and small children) is required
to have a ticket to be admitted into the gymnasium. Overflow seating for those without
a ticket will be available in the CR Theater where the ceremony will be live streamed.
All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates
No. Tickets are not required for family and friends to attend the commencement ceremony.

Is there assigned seating?
Eureka Candidates
No, all seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of accessible
seating/wheelchair spaces will be available on the gymnasium floor.
Klamath-Trinity

How many tickets can I get?
Eureka Candidates
The number of tickets is 4.
Tickets are required for admittance due to maximum capacity limitations at the venue.
Tickets will be available for graduates to pick up at rehearsal. If you cannot attend rehearsal, your tickets will be left at will-call under your name on Saturday morning.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates
Tickets are not required.
Del Norte Candidates
The number of tickets is TBD.
Tickets will be available to pick up at Del Norte Campus Administration Office during finals week.
Can I get extra tickets?
Eureka Candidates
CR will not hand out extra tickets, please talk with your friends for extra tickets.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates
Tickets are not required.

How do I get my cap and gown (regalia)?
Cap and Gown
Cap and Gown packages are available for $38 + tax and includes a cap, gown, sash with CR logo, tassel, and year charm. Some items may be purchased individually. Honor cords will be sold to students on a designated honors list.

Instructional Site Administration Office. This includes requests for accessible seating/wheelchair
spaces, disabled parking, Braille/large print text, etc.
Del Norte Candidates:

What accommodations will be available for family or friends with special needs?
Eureka Candidates
There will be a limited number of accessible seating/wheelchair spaces on the gymnasium floor.
- There will be disabled parking.
- The CR car will circle the parking lot to provide transportation up to the gym.
- Sign language translators will be interpreting the ceremony.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates

When is rehearsal?
Eureka Candidates:
Rehearsal is in the gymnasium at 10 a.m. on the Friday before Commencement. You will
not need your regalia for rehearsal.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates
There will be no rehearsal.
Del Norte Candidates
There will be a rehearsal immediately before the Ceremony. Please arrive dressed by
5pm.
Where and when do I line up for Commencement?
Eureka Candidates
Graduates should meet in the Field House behind the Gymnasium at 10 a.m. Please be dressed in your cap and gown when you arrive.
Klamath-Trinity
Graduates should meet at the designated location for the ceremony by 5:30 pm. Please
be dressed in your cap and gown when you arrive.
Del Norte Candidates
Graduates should meet at the designated location for the ceremony at 5:00 pm. Please
be dressed in your cap and gown when you arrive.
What time do the doors open for Commencement to allow the guests to find seats?
Eureka Candidates
Doors open at 10 a.m.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates

Will I have a picture taken at Commencement?
Eureka Candidates
Yes. GradImages is our official graduation photographer. They will contact you with
information on purchasing photos.
Klamath-Trinity Candidates
A professional photographer will not be available at the commencement ceremony.

Where will my diploma be mailed?
Your diploma will be mailed to the address you write on your Graduation Petition or Application for Certificate.
When will I get my diploma?
- Spring degrees & certificates will be sent out by September 30
- Fall degrees & certificates will be sent out by March 30
- Summer degrees & certificates will be sent out by October 30
Can I get a duplicate diploma?
Yes, complete the Diploma Reprint Request. Diploma reprints are $20 each.

How do I get my transcript?
Go to Admissions > Admissions Home > Transcripts (aksarayyeralticarsisi.com) and follow the directions.
How much do transcripts cost?
The first two official transcript requests are free. After students receive their first two Standard Requests free of charge, a fee for official transcript requests is applied.
- $8.00 - Standard Request
- $23.00 - Domestic Federal Express to main 48 states
- $30.00 - Domestic Federal Express to Alaska or Hawaii
- $53.00 - International Federal Express
Unofficial transcripts are free and can be obtained by logging into WebAdvisor and clicking on "view unofficial transcript".
When will my final grades be reflected on my transcript?
Grades are due one week after the term ends. There are two options when you order your transcript: hold order until grades are posted for the current term or hold order until after the degree/certificate is posted.
